What an awesome day on the lake we had at Texoma this past Saturday for our first Oklahoma Elite Anglers (OEA) event. We couldn’t have asked for a prettier day to be on the water and the fish were biting! The team that put it all together on what is probably the biggest bag of smallmouth I’ve ever seen is team Robinson and Robinson. They brought 5 smallmouth to the scales that weighed a total of 20.25 pounds anchored by a 6.20 pounder which gave them $1,480 to take home. Great job guys! Second place went to team Malone and Widowski who also brought 5 to the scale weighing 17.25 pounds anchored also by a 6.20 pounder winning them a total of $640. Third place went to team Ardrey and Ardrey who also had 5 smallmouth that weighed a total 16.90 pounds anchored by a 5.60 pounder winning them a total of $240. Fourth place and big bass awards went to team Johnson and McMahan who brought 5 to the scale weighing 16.80 pounds anchored by a 6.60 pounder winning them a total of $280. Great job everybody and a big thanks to everybody who pitched in and helped. Our next regular season event will be on Eufaula Lake on April 1st. We will be doing check in and weigh in at Peter’s Point. A big thanks also to our sponsors, Mike Hellack Chevrolet, Southern Environmental Septic and Storm Shelters, Simpson Chiropractic, JC&S Offroad Fabrication, Lews Reels, Legend Boats, Power Tackle Rods, and Ardrey Taxidermy for making this season happen. I’m looking forward to seeing everybody at Eufaula. Give me a call if there’s anything you need or have any questions.
